Temple of Love

Temple of Love is an exhibition of works by Gerry Fox at Hix Art, London which celebrate the sculpture of Rodin by re-imagining some of his iconic works in mesmerising moving imagery. The Eternal Idol is a four screen work that brings the sculpture to life using two live models in the various materials from which the original would have been fabricated: the original “sculpting” clay then plaster, marble and bronze. In Eternal Springtime Fox uses slow motion and cutting-edge digital effects to re-imagine the watercolour and gouache sketches and Carrara marble-like qualities of Rodin’s sculpture. The show features four other digitally inventive Rodin inspired moving artworks.
